Project Description

From the Coast Counties Warehouse Co. located in Santa Maria, CA, The Lumber Baron has recovered a large amount of smooth, reclaimed Douglas Fir 2×10 and 2×12 material and rough 4×12 and 6×12 beams. The Coast Counties Warehouse Company was a large bean and flower seed processing company founded in 1886.  Built in 1952 and the original Douglas Fir dawns the Burke & Pate Lumber Co stamp, from Arroyo Grande, CA. Not common with an already smooth finish, this reclaimed Doug Fir would be ideal for applications where splintering may occur and be a nuisance (ie a child’s bedroom, cutting board, head board etc)

The Coast Counties Reclaimed Fir has sold out. Check out our other FSC Certified reclaimed fir products.

Research proves that “greenness” has a measurable impact on occupants. And not just in residential applications. Used in retail and hospitality, it enhances customer experiences. In healthcare it contributes to faster healing. In workspaces it promotes productivity and boosts morale. As urbanization continues, factoring these benefits into modern design is crucial. Reap the many benefits of wood by incorporating it in your next project.
